Woodbury Fire District is administered by an elected five-person
Board of Fire Commissioners. One commissioner is elected each year
for a five-year term. There is one part-time Secretary-Treasurer
who assists the Board. All fire fighters are volunteers. There are
two fire companies within the Fire District the Central Valley fire house on Smith Clove Road and the Highland Mills
Fire Company located on Route 32 in Highland Mills. The
Fire District encompasses the entire Town of Woodbury outside the
Village of Harriman. Fire fighters are well trained and meet all
OSHA standards. Fire fighting apparatus include two pumpers, one
ladder truck, one rescue truck, one pumper/tanker, and one brush truck.

Are volunteers needed and, if so, how
can I become a member?
Volunteers are always needed. Click here to find out more. Anyone interested in joining can go
to either fire house on any Monday evening beginning at 7:00PM while
drills are being held. Prospective members can also call on Monday
evenings at 928-6080 for the Central Valley Fire Company or at 928-6070
for the Highland Mills Fire Company to obtain further information
on the application process.
Is the meeting room at the Woodbury
Fire House located at 455 Route 32 available to the public?
The Woodbury Fire House is available on a limited basis to not-for-profit
organizations for various community functions. No alcohol is allowed
on Fire District property. Parking is limited to approximately 25
cars.
