About Our Department
he Woodbury Fire District is administered by an elected five-person Board of Fire Commissioners. One commissioner is elected each year for a five-year term. There is one part-time Secretary-Treasurer who assists the Board. All fire fighters are volunteers. There are two fire companies within the Fire District — the Central Valley fire house on Smith Clove Road and the Highland Mills Fire Company located on Route 32 in Highland Mills. The Fire District encompasses the entire Town of Woodbury outside the Village of Harriman. Fire fighters are well trained and meet all OSHA standards. Fire fighting apparatus include two pumpers, one ladder truck, one rescue truck, one pumper/tanker, and one brush truck.
