Asked Questions How old do you have to be to join the
Senior Center and what do I have to do to become a member?
The age limit is 55 years or older. In order to be a member of our
Senior Center, you must be a resident of the Town of Woodbury.
What programs do
you have? Do you have speakers? If so, what topics are covered?
We have the following programs: exercise, dance, trips, monthly
luncheons, cards, bingo, canasta, other exciting games for
enjoyment, and health and welfare programs. Speakers come to the
Center to discuss senior concerns and health issues. We also
take trips to nearby places of interest.
Do you do dinner
shows? How often do the Seniors go to the shows/sites? How do I
know what programs are taking place each month?
We have dinner shows several times a year. Once a month we go to
shows or sites. There is a monthly calendar of activities distributed
to each member.
Are you a site for
tax preparation, blood pressure screenings, flu shots, and assorted
events that are helpful? Is there transportation available for Seniors
to visit doctors, etc.?
Once a month, the Center has blood pressure screenings and there
is no transportation available to Seniors for doctor visits, etc.
